Pizzeria Osteria Il Faro — Restaurant in Brunate

Al pranzo di ferragosto decidiamo di andare in questa osteria alle 12 30, ci sediamo, ordiniamo, dopo una mezzoretta arriva il tagliere di antipasti da dividere, dopodiché veniamo abbandonati(nessun cenno da nessun cameriere) per un'ora e mezza, dopo una richiesta (era stata persa la comanda?) Alle due e un quarto Arriva il primo e, dopo neanche 5 min il secondo. La qualità del cibo é nella norma, nulla da contestare, anche l'attesa può essere giustificata vista l 'affluenza -anche se essendo prevedivile si poteva prendere provvedimenti-. Una volta alla cassa faccio notare che almeno il quartino di vino poteva essere offerto visto che per un'ora e mezzo nessuno ci ha calcolato e , nell'attesa non ci restava che berci qualche bicchiere di vino, ma con supponenza e maleducazione la ragazza in cassa mi dice "c è stato il pienone e la cucina si è bloccata, è ferragosto per tutti, basta guardarsi in giro". A prescindere dal fatto che non ho lamentato l'attesa (comunque troppa) ma il fatto che nessuno in un'ora e mezza ci ha fatto cenno a dire " c è stato un intoppo in cucina, arriviamo" o cose simili. Morale della favola: niente scuse, maleducazione nella risposta e neanche il quartino di vino offerto perché "questo è già stato segnato in comanda, al massimo ti offro i caffè" che non ho preso, non bevendone. Detto ciò giustifico la pasta sciapa, giustifico l'attesa ma la maleducazione no, mi spiace. Deludente. Prezzo nella norma ma neanche economico: 80 euro per un antipasto diviso, un primo diviso, due secondi, un dolce diviso, un litro +...

Awesome restaurant. Pizzas were good (diavola and prosciutto fungi) but the real star was Gnocchi that we took as a starter (you have to try it) and 0.5 l homemade wine which my wife felt in love with :) Austrian beer was really nice also.

Restaurants have the option of eating outside, which we used. Service was fast, polite and very helpful (no problem with didviding one starter between two of us on separate plates).

Definitive recommendation for anyone visiting...

We are staying in Brunate for a few days and visited on recommendation. We walked up in heavy rain and thunder. When we arrived the staff said there was no room for a table of 4 despite it being half emptyl!. There was no offer of having a drink while we wait the storm out. Just told to come back at 9 for Take Away. The staff were chaotic and arguing with each other. Can't comment on the pizza... but we won't be back to try thanks to the appalling...
