Ristorante Osteria Acqua Ciara — Restaurant in Brunate

The most wonderful food, fabulous service and great location - do not miss it!! Recommended to us by the proprietor of il cestino in Milan - another fabulous place - we were not disappointed. After taking the train from Milan and the funiculare up it was a 20 min steep but pleasant walk up the hill ( or there’s a shuttle bus) and it meant we had a good appetite for the polenta with wild mushrooms, squid ink gnocci with seafood - honestly one of the most delicious things ever - and fish ravioli. My youngest just wanted pasta with tomato sauce, and even though it wasn’t on the menu it was no trouble for the delightful staff and she got her wish! Desserts were also wonderful tiramisu and crème brûlée and wine just 5 euros a glass. It was all great value and I can’t recommend it highly...

I came here with my pregnant wife after the walk to the lighthouse. The staff was immediatley friendly, and when we ordered something off the menu that had an ingredient not quite good for pregnant women, the cook and two waiters rushed over and in spectacular manner tried to translate to English that what we ordered might be dangerous for the baby. The urgency and sincerity with which they rushed over to tell us was hilarious and unbelievably sweet. We laughed about it and they offered us a modified order. It was delicious and we instantly felt such a connection to these genuinely sweet people. A wonderful experience. I wish I could come...

Domenica 23 feb H15:00 ... io e 3 amici abbiamo deciso dopo 1 passeggiata di accomodarci in questo bar ristorante. Bel terrazzo con un bel panorama , ma i primi dubbi e perplessità sono nati già quando ancora prima di sederci ci sono state poste mille domande su cosa avremmo consumato senza ancora prima di averci dato la possibilità di leggere 1 menù e sederci (cameriere inoltre completamente ignaro di che panorama avessimo davanti ai nostri occhi assurdo).finalmente ci viene dato 1 menu eeee la signora (cameriere)ci dice: cucina chiusa solo bibite . E noi va bhe' ( in posti altamente turistici si da sempre da mangiare ) domandiamo: ma 1 tagliere di formaggi con 1 prosecco ? Risposta NO XKE LA CUCINA È CHIUSA? cioè voglio dire CUCINA ??? X 1 TAGLIERE DI FORMAGGI CON 2 MARMELLATE ? MA DAIIII NN SCHERZIAMO. Un tagliere non è un primo o secondo piatto... si tratta semplicemente di sapersi organizzare e/o la volontà di servire e ricevere la clientela . Se non si ha voglia di lavorare si può anche chiudere e aspettare il weekend successivo. Credo profondamente che posti così turistici non possono essere così superficiali e accontentarsi del cassetto fatto a pranzo. Un vero peccato per il turismo che con anche difficoltà arriva fino sopra a Brunate e non può rilassarsi e godere uno spettacolo come quello del lago di Como. PS.concludo dicendo anche che abbiamo preso 3 caffè eee indovinate neanche 1 torta e biscotti ci hanno voluto servire cosa che erano riposte sotto a delle campane di vetro all ingresso del Bar. assurdo...
