Oasi Cafè — Restaurant in Cagliari

We had mixed feelings about this place. On the positive side, the food was very enjoyable. We started with the carpaccio di polpo, which was fresh and flavorful. For mains, we had the linguine porro e calamaro and linguine vongole e bottarga—both dishes were well-prepared and tasty, though the portions were just okay. We also had two Aperol Spritz, which were nicely made.

Unfortunately, the service was a letdown. We had to chase down the waiters for anything—no one came over to check on the food, ask if we needed anything else, or even offer dessert. They didn’t even print the bill—just gave us a total verbally. And to top it off, they include a 15% service charge, which felt unfair given that we received no real “service” at all.

Guests were super nice, the server however - rude and dismissive. Funnily several guests told me that one server spoke English, I approached him to ask if I can have a drink brought to sunbed and dine afterwards maybe with a deposit,but k never got to ask that, as he looked at me for a second and when I asked if he spoke English he said no, when I asked if anyone else does, he said no again and left 🤨, however the guests that advised me to speak to him tried to get him to come back. I thanked the guests and said I am not staying so no need. They obviously didn't need me as a client, and I won't be staying there even if he is suddenly miraculously is able to speak English when management is called. So I left. We visited twice in a week, using it as our go-to spot to enjoy lunch and soak up some sun. The setting is beautiful, with a relaxed beach vibe that instantly puts you at ease. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff really added to the experience—they were attentive without being intrusive, making sure we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our time there.

The food was delicious, with each dish carefully prepared and full of flavor. It’s rare to find a place where both the service and the food match the stunning location, but this place nails it.
