Bar Escalier — Restaurant in Caltagirone

Loved the mulberry granita (first time I tried this flavour, so I have nothing to compare it with, but it was delicious!). The place is right at the bottom of the stairs, but has also sitting on the square, from which you can see the dome of the nearby church - pretty nice background to enjoy a cold dessert or a cold drink. Friendly staff. Good place...

I fully agree with Andrew Davidson. Where it is it is refreshing that they are not trying to exploit the visitors to their town and the fantastic steps. The staff in this bar were extremely friendly and gave very good service. The guys I thought were the bosses drove the bar like this. Signed........the Spanish...

Lascio una stella solo perché, a conclusione della pessima esperienza, si sono scusati ed hanno cercato di rimediare offrendo un caffè. Ci sediamo alle 13:40, dopo venti minuti riusciamo ad ordinare. Prendiamo 1 insalata col pollo, 1 con tonno e un tagliere grande. A distanza di 50 minuti riescono a portare i piatti...sbagliandoli!!! Portano un tagliere più piccolo decidendo loro che andava bene così, boh? Si incartano con le varie comande degli altri tavoli con le insalate; lasciano una pollo a noi e un'altra all'altro tavolo, quella col tonno non si sa dove sia finita. Sarebbe dovuta essere una caprese col tonno ed insalata, invece era iceberg con due pomodori, tonno (sbriciolato) e mozzarella per pizza. In tutto ciò ho dovuto chiedere io di apparecchiare, portare delle posate, del pane e i tovaglioli. Erano presenti 6 addetti e solo 4 tavoli occupati...direi che dagli errori si può imparare e loro ne hanno davvero...
