Today we ate at Pinsè in Caltagirone, a small pinseria (Roman fluffy pizza) with vegan options. The waiter kindly explained the entire menu and then wrote directly on the menu for us vegans what we could eat and what we could change to make the dish vegan. Basically, where he put the X, it's not vegan; everything else is vegan or can be veganized (see my photos) We had panelle, zucchini flowers (not stuffed, just made with batter), pinsa marinara without anchovies, and the sweet pinsa with strawberry jam, apple, and coconut. Kudos to the waiter with green hair who was so polite and very professional with his explanations, we were thoroughly impressed with his service and also the service of the young lady working there too. We had a wonderful day out with family in Caltagirone and our lunch here was a large part of that!

Very friendly staff and pleasant outdoor seating. They offer a few starters and salads next to their pizzas, which are sold per piece or as a whole (equivalent to 4-5 pieces). The base (dough) is pre-cooked and ingredients are added in a second step once you order which means that the pinse listed on the card are more like suggestions and can be adapted as per your preferences/needs. In our case, they were able to adapt both one of their salads and pizzas to suit a vegan diet. The pinsa is not as crispy as the original Roman one but very good nonetheless. The squid ink arancino was also really good.

A lovely little street food place. It was really tasty and cosy, so we returned. There's a decent amount of vegetarian options and they can modify the existing dishies according to your needs. Pinse are fluffy and not hard on your stomach at all, and arancini are big enough to work as a standalone meal. Mezzelune with pistacchio sauce were a hit. The only thing I'd change is the amount of plastic generated and offer rewashable cups. Otherwise, the staff was attentive even when it was hectic, and it was a great experience. Well done, guys!

The best arancini I have ever had! Why,freshly made while you wait, full of flavour, the ragu was made with love,I could taste that these guys really care about the food they're serving. Also the pizza was delicious. The table service was also great. I couldn't possibly say anything negative about this place. Even the atmosphere was really nice, low volume and pleasant music playing in the background. Highly recommended, if you are hungry in this area, you must eat here. Thank you and continue to care, its that which makes a great place...
