We arrived around 1pm and asked if they had a table for 2. The gentleman standing outside didn’t even grace us with a verbal reply but took one look at my girlfriend and then shook his hands. The famous lasagna with pesto was in fact excellent. The chopped mussels with spaghetti were a delight, hot and perfectly emulsified. Highlight was the fritto misto, somehow not oily but still deep fried. The anchovies were so fresh (we watched the owner clean them meticulously in a bucket of ice water) and the shrimp were so excellent we ate them whole.
