Taberna Don Ricardo — Restaurant in Camogli

Okay so the ambience in this restaurant was great!! Really cute furniture and vibe over all. Really friendly service and waiters, you also get chips and salsa for free! Really good aperol and as I said really nice people! Unfortunately there were barely veggie options- other than what they said online. I ordered one of the only veggie ones and it wasn’t good at all to be honest. My mother said the burrito was alright, my dad tho really liked the tacos! I think it really depends on what you order. We wanted to try something different after so many wonderful meals in Italy and the reviews were good so we gave it a try. Usually we have luck following Google reviews but not this time. The table they sat us at was just outside the window of a bathroom. My margarita was horrible and the sangria was only slightly better. Our appetizer, Con Carne, was not what expected but pretty tasty (chili on rice). We decided on the Fajitas which were passable at best and entirely too much food. Serata messicana ...a Camogli! Sito alle spalle della passeggiata a mare del borgo ligure, in un vicolo affollato da turisti che passano attraverso i tavolini disposti lungo la via, si trova questo angolo di Messico in terra di Camogli. Atmosfera tipica del genere, luci calde, pareti addobbate così come le mensole sparse ovunque da riferimenti alla terra degli antichi Maya. Sala piccola ma che può accogliere un adeguato numero di avventori. Tavoli e un paio di appoggi con sgabelli alti. Abbiamo prenotato e consiglio di farlo perché il locale è sempre pieno. Accoglienza cortese, menù stampato sulla tovaglietta di carta. Vengono servite subito due ciotoline con salse al pomodoro piccante e non, un cestino capiente colmo di nachos davvero sfiziosi! La scelta è varia me non eccessiva. Piatti tipici della tradizione messicana con prezzi nella norma. Scegliamo Ceviche di gamberi (13€), Tacos (versione 14€ 2pz) e Salsicha a la Campesina (12€). Due birre medie chiara e rossa più una Cola, di queste non ho trovato menù e prezzi. Il Tacos è risultato piuttosto anonimo nel sapore mentre la salsiccia (con fagioli) davvero buona.
