Maybe they just had a bad day,but it was really a horrible experience . Service absolutely bad,the gentleman showed us our table and then we waited : ages to get menu, it took (really) forever to order food (I understand it was a busy day, but others who came later were served sooner) but the worst thing was that they forgot to order frites (we ordered at the same time with fish). We asked a waitress to get it and said that they forgot in a very kind way, but nothing happened and we waited again. Than finally we caught another waitress (who took our order) and told her that she forgot and we are still missing frites- than she stared to panic without saying sorry. After another 5 minutes we finally got frites (but obviously our fish was totally cold after this 30 minutes of waiting). We visited this restaurant 3 years ago and were eager to visit Belgau again. For whatever reason they offered no pizza but their menu is full of high quality Italian classics, so we still took the chance and sat down for our dinner.

The food is excellent but the service ruined our evening. We waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes for our main dish. It was very hard to catch a waiter to ask for the food and to order drinks.

Super stressful! Not a pleasant experience at all. No one welcomes you at the restaurant. You have to go in and try to make contact with one of the many waitresses that won’t look you in the eyes. Once you make it, it takes forever to order your food. And when it finally arrives, the kids get their meals 20 minutes before we get ours! And this did not just happens to us. There were plenty of other guests experiencing the same thing. And trying to pay was quite a challenge. Three different waitresses were asked and I still hade to walk in and demand to pay.
