Ristorante Biagio Pignatta — Restaurant in Carmignano

Nice location on hill in artimino, with good parking facilities. Unfortunately the most beautiful view (valley view of firenze) is reserved only for weddings and parties and normal guests sit on inside patio or inside the building. Service is professional and quick. The food is however not that special and falls behind the location and service. At first glance it seems great, but it was my feeling that it is aimed at foreigners (who stay in closeby artimino) and priced accordingly. Very few italian guests compared to foreigners when we were dinning. If you are a first time traveler to this area/italy probably 4 stars, for more seasoned travelers 3 stars. Not sure what to say about this place. We are a fam of 5 (6,6,12)

We waited for over 1 hour from ordering food ( 3x salad, plain burger and Mac and cheese) before we received it. The kids got the food the last - we had to remind the waiters several times of the order. The food was decent - nothing speciel and prices high.

Der Service ist wirklich hervorragend – das Personal verdient 5+ Sterne. Sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell, man fühlt sich bestens betreut.

Die Küche hingegen hat mich enttäuscht. Das Angebot ist eher klein, die Preise sehr hoch – und für die gebotene Qualität schlicht nicht gerechtfertigt. Besonders bei den Trüffelgerichten: sowohl beim Carpaccio als auch beim weiteren Trüffelgericht war so wenig Trüffel vorhanden, dass der typische Geschmack völlig fehlte. Genau das erwarte ich bei solchen Spezialitäten. Ich habe dies dem Servicepersonal auch direkt weitergeleitet, doch leider kam keine Reaktion aus der Küche – schade.

Zum Vergleich: Wir waren in anderen Trüffel-Restaurants, die deutlich günstiger waren und großzügig mit Trüffel gearbeitet haben – dort hat man wirklich den vollen Geschmack erlebt (siehe auch meine anderen Rezensionen).
