Food was great but service was abysmal.
We asked a waitress for a table and she abruptly told us that there was nothing left, despite the restaurant being half empty. Surprised and taken aback, we went to the outdoor seating area (also half empty) and asked a server there, who begrudgingly sat us at a table. Result but... go figure!
All evening we were treated like an inconvenience. Complimentary bread basket dropped on the table. Glasses and cutlery shoved haphazardly by our side. Grumbling in response to our orders. Our food order took over 30 minutes to arrive whilst we watched other tables be served their food... eat... then leave... My partner asked the server about the hold up and they snapped back 'arriva!' (it's coming). Another 10 minutes pass and the food arrives piping hot and my pasta al dente... suggesting they hadn't even began cooking our meal until we enquired about it.
It was an odd and bemusing experience as we weren't quite sure what we'd done to deserve this treatment. Meanwhile, the food was great and prices were very reasonable so we decided to not make a fuss about the attitude. Either way, we were paying customers who didn't do anything wrong or rude and I was appalled to be treated this way.
I'm British and my partner is from Northern Italy. I'd hate to think that this would influence the behaviour of staff towards us but since most of the other clientele were locals or Southern Italian it makes me question whether our background and young age actually did play a part in all this...

The food was not cooked well. The seafood was tough and the nuts in the pasta were old and smelled rancid. The atmosphere is like an 80's diner, bare and uncomfortable. Even if it was the only place around, I wouldn't...
Read moreBeen in the vicinity for a couple of days and tried to reserve a table but ran in on the unpolite welcome or shoud I say "go away" policy. It may have a good food, or a good "dolce" we'll never know but what we know is that a restaurant in a beach/summer business at national park should know better... This is unacceptable and unprofessional, should be removed from google never to be...
