Sir Jasper's — Restaurant in Cassino

Memorably named restaurant that lives up to the good reviews!

We stopped to eat in Cassino before visiting Montecassino on our drive from Rome to Pompei and saw this restaurant was easy to get to from the road. We parked on the street (paid parking) and had lunch.

The server didn't speak English but she was very welcoming and the menu had a QR code and we could access it in English. With pointing and keywords we were able to get our needs met. The only other patrons were locals! The food was excellent! The decor was beautiful. Bathrooms were clean....

We have visited three times this week, in parties of 12 - 9 persons. I had a Pizza tonight, after a few mouthfuls I discovered something odd in my mouth. It was about 1 cm long and a round needle thick size, light coloured. I showed it to the waitress who was unsure as to what it might be. The chef indicated that it was a piece of wood! from the oven! Nothing more was said or offered to me. Rather disappointing in all honesty as they were keen for us to return tonight being a party of...

Ho pranzato e cenato diverse volte in questo locale, niente da dire sulla location ma il personale e la qualità del cibo lascia a desiderare ultimamente. Cameriere scortese alle nostre richieste, mia cognata è celiaca quindi o un hamburger di scottona o altrimenti nulla. Al di fuori dei tonnarelli non esiste altro per i primi piatti.....in passato c'era di tutto e vario. Adesso o ci si attiene a quei 4 primi o altrimenti te ne puoi anche andare. Antipasto notevolmente ridotto, non nel costo (24 euro ) mancavano diverse cose rispetto alla volta precedente in cui sono stata ( gennaio). Dopo i primi piatti non è possibile ordinare altro.....o si ordina tutto insieme o niente. E dopo un primo e un antipasto come faccio a sapere se le persone che ho invitato vogliono altro? Terminato di consumare devi alzarti e andartene. Non lo trovo giusto. Abbiamo chiesto spiegazioni sul cambiamento dei menù e ci è stato risposto che bisogna modernizzarsi....mi spiace ma per quello che abbiamo speso e per quello che abbiamo mangiato e di fretta anche mi è sembrato esagerato. Abbiamo pagato inoltre per un servizio che non c'è stato, uno degli ospiti ha atteso un'ora e mezza per un hamburger. Mi spiace veramente molto ho pensato che avrei fatto bella figura venendo da voi, ma alla fine si sono lamentati tutti. Tornate ai vecchi menù e ascoltate quello che vi dice il cliente cosa che...
