Review of La Tana del Pirata (The Pirate's Cave)

The Positive: The parking facilities were excellent. Our dogs were given water without us having to ask. This attention to detail genuinely impressed us. One of the waitresses was truly friendly and dedicated. However, the rest of the staff were stoic and indifferent.

The Not-So-Positive: The food... it felt like it was served to people who either don't have a sense of value for money or like it's taken from tourists in true pirate fashion. The name seems quite fitting in this regard. A handful of lukewarm fried calamari for €22. The tuna was good, but the side dish was just some thinly fried onion strips... and that's it, seriously (see photo). Spaghetti with a handful of mussels for €22. A piece of sea bass with four potato slices, at least somewhat garnished, for €28. No lemon included—we had to request it. One bottle of water and two Prosecco.

Total: €117!!!

Dear La Tana del Pirata Team, Friends say what others think. We were very disappointed! Lukewarm food, extremely overpriced, and except for one waitress, the staff had stoic faces.

I've cooked at a high level and visited many restaurants worldwide, so I can indeed form a valid opinion.

We find it very unfortunate that we had this experience.

I can only hope that this review provides the restaurant with some pointers for improvement if it fits within their strategy.

I also hope that future guests look closely before deciding to visit.

Questo luogo si trova a ridosso della spiaggia, lo stabilimento è sempre loro; potete trovare ombrelloni e gazebi attrezzati. Il ristorante si presenta ben disposto, si sta larghi e comodi. Prezzi nella media per posizione e servizi offerti. Il cibo è di qualità, viene presentato bene rispettando la sua bontà Abbiamo preso due fritti di calamari con verdure, davvero ottimi direi, un contorno, un piatto di pasta per i bambini, birra e acqua: 90€ Di nota il panorama, cenare al tramonto è un plus da non sottovalutare.

Anno 2022, ritornati convintissimi. Purtroppo i prezzi sono aumentati notevolmente, i prodotti non erano all'altezza del costo, per dire 20 euro qualche fetta di prosciutto, 2 bruschettine e 3 fettine di formaggio. Insalata con 5 6 pezzi di pesce e 1 scampo altri 20 euro. 2 pasta al pomodoro 28 euro, costo reale credo 4 forse, perché il resto dei loro costi erano ammortizzati tra vino , acqua e antipasti. Il fritto era unto e nemmeno troppo buono. L'altro primo invece era adeguato, linguine con gamberi... anche se 26 euro mi sembra comunque troppo "pretenzioso" per una pasta che non era nemmeno fatta in casa. Siamo stati in un altro ristorante lì in zona, prezzi simili, più bassi, ma simili e siamo usciti col sorriso stampato in faccia.

Abbasso da 5 a 3 stelle e non penso ci torneremo più.

Confermo perché che le cameriere sono simpatiche, ma purtroppo in un ristorante così, dove si vuole avere un certo pubblico e un certo costo, il vino in un tavolo grosso lo deve servire la cameriera e...

Wir waren im vergangenen Jahr mehrmals dort essen und haben uns gefreut auch dieses Jahr das Restaurant und seine Küche zu geniessen.

Leider wurden wir dieses Jahr sehr enttäuscht. Die Geburtstags Überraschung klappte nicht, obwohl vorgängig telefonisch besprochen und zugesichert. Auch am Abend beim Geburtstagsessen vor Ort diskret nachgefragt, Zitat: "ja klar, kein Problem". Scheinbar war es nur der Comis.... Nach dem Fehler, versuchte der Kellner noch was zu retten. Kerze in eine Eiskugel gesteckt..... Wachs tropft..... Wachs im Eis...... lecker.....

Naja. Zudem war das Essen letztes Jahr besser. Neues Küchenteam?

Es kann ja mal etwas schiefgehen, ich habe über 30 Jahre Gastro Erfahrung. Aber der Chef hat uns den ganzen Abend ignoriert. Alle anderen italienischen Gäste wurden begrüsst, "Touristen " nicht.

Wir gaben dem Restaurant am Schlussabend unserer Ferien eine zweite Chance. Leider ging auch bei dem Besuch einiges schief. Essen war nicht wirklich gut. Alte, vertrocknete Zitronen zum fritto misto, hatte es dort schon besser bekommen. Trüffelpasta war ok. Meine Partnerin hatte kalt da es sehr windig war, wir baten um etwas für die Schultern, Tuch oder so (haben ja ein Strand Business daneben) oder Tischdecke. Antwort nein gehtnicht. Zweiter Versuch bei einem anderen Kellner, doch geht, Tischdecke wurde gereicht. Sonst Service sehr langsam, lange Wartezeiten.

Chef war wieder vor Ort, aber auch dieses Mal kein Hallo für die Touristen.

Schade für den schönen Ort. Hätte so...
