This restaurant is definitely one of the most beautiful places I‘ve seen.
It is so close to the sea that it feels like you re inside the sea already. The view is amazing. The architecture and the colors of the building is so lovely that it is hard to put in words and much better to experience for yourself. The outside has better view than the inside, but from the inside you can also see the sea and it feels like you re in a different time , like the world doesn’t move as quickly as the media suggests it would be and maybe does.
The cook has the gift to make splendid regional meals like some potatoe bread combination, I don’t remember the name of, a fantastic bolognese I was lucky to have, since she was so kind to make it, even though it was actually not on the menu.
From the menu the tonno fish with lemon was perfect and the seafood salad as well as fried octopus I enjoyed a lot.
The waitor was very friendly and sympathetic as well as so kind to give advice to the area and everything else, and the boss seemed to be a charming seaman that has huge experience with the sea, and might has the one or other story to tell if he is in the mood of sharing it.
The town and area is beautiful and lovely.
I seldomly give reviews, but here I felt like I should. I give this restaurant my highest recommendation and wish you can...
Read moreAbysmal food. Nothing about this place was acceptable. We did take pitty on the server, because he really tried to do his best, but everything was lacking so badly, that his good heart just didn’t cut it. We had chosen another place, but they lost electricity so we had to move and stopped here without checking reviews. Never do this, ever. We had pasta with tomato sauce. I think Chefboyardy makes better sauce. Our only solace was the spigola (fish) it was fresh, but be ready to clean it yourself and be careful with the bones. The white wine from the region, was assuredly washed down with water. The only pairing it was good with was the cardboard bread. We didn’t even wait for dessert or coffee offerings, we left, paid and went to Martinucci to drown our bad lunch with one of their lovely ice cream cones. Seriously, Lupo di Mare has an envious place directly on the sea, but it is such terrible food, that it has to be the worst food and wine in the whole of Italy. We thought Gordon Ramsey would have a conniption eating at this restaurant. It I could give -5...
Read moreTourist trap with not good food. My friends and I popped in while traveling and got tortolinni with pomodoro (me) and grilled swordfish with "salad" (both of them). We got seltzer water and two cokes. Our meal was €40, the pasta was acceptable but not great, the swordfish was fishy and had bones in it, and the salad was 5 leaves of iceberg lettuce and a couple slices of not yet ripe tomatoes. The staff was nice and the view was good, but not a place where you're going to...
