Ole Tapas Bar — Restaurant in Cecina

Superb find! We went to the (dog-friendly) beach and were looking for somewhere for lunch. Chanced upon the Ole Bar and we were not disappointed.

The food is very authentic... and the lady who served us also Spanish. The cocktails and beer were great.

The vibe reminded us of several laid back beach bars we have been to in many places around the world (Caribbean / South Africa etc)

We ate very well for quite a modest price... and though we love Italian food... after 2 weeks some authentic tapas was a very welcome change.

We particularly enjoyed the Octopus, the Calamari Panino (in a. black bun) and the anchovies.

We will definitely go again, hopefully when they have live...

Sono rimasta sorpresa dalle eccellenti recensioni di questo locale, del resto noi non abbiamo preso quasi niente da mangiare perché era una piccola sosta prima di partire per la strada del ritorno verso le 18. A quanto pare però la nostra sosta non era gradita al personale che, a seguito della richiesta da parte nostra (eravamo 13 persone, tra genitori, figli e nonni e nipoti) di solo caffè e una porzione di patate per una voglia “improvvisa” di una donna incinta, ha iniziato a sbeffeggiarci tra di loro dicendo “la giornata mondiale del caffè oggi” oppure “mh, buono caffè e patate!” accompagnati da risatine varie. Probabilmente si aspettavano altre richieste o tipologia di clientela ma se ti pago e ti tratto con cortesia lo stesso dovrebbe essere fatto, a maggior ragione, da chi offre un servizio. Non sono solita dare recensioni negative ma la maleducazione e le prese in giro...

They get everything spot on whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner! The guys that run it are charming and friendly. It is such a lovely place to go any time of the day. The location is also great next to the beautiful Cecina woods and just a few minutes...
