Magna Roma — Restaurant in Cefalù

The man waiter is nice, the waitress is so unprofessional. I ordered water in room temperature, she brought it cold from the freezer. I ordered well done steak, it was brought to me medium rare. When I asked for it to be cooked, they brought it back to me burnt. Literally burnt. I ordered some grilled vegetables as a side dish. I haven't seen a worse vegetables dish before. It wad Mushrooms, zucchini, and aubergine. The vegetables were raw tastless and the mushrooms was gummi, not chewable, I had to leave it. I was feeling not well on that day so I just paid and left. However this place is worse than 3 starts. I only gave it the merit of 3 with the benefit of doubt that their pizza wud be ok, haven't tried it and won't. If you like your restaurant experience to be bordering on the contemptuous, this is the place for you; if not, don't bother. Staff couldn't even be bothered to say goodbye or express a thank you on departure. Whether you're a tourist or a local, people spend their hard-earned cash to eat out, and there are lots of options in Cefalu. Why not go to a place where staff actually seem to value your custom instead? Food was "OK", no better or worse than other offerings in the city. I guess this is just a classic " they're tourists, they won't be back, so no point in making any effort" attitude. Well, I guess they were right, because we won't be back! Too tired to walk to the old city- went local, it’s mostly families with young kids

The menu is a bit over zealous for the clientele that frequent

Pizzas seem to be there go to item, the vegetarian pizza - wilted rocket o er chunks of uncooked egg plant and dried mushrooms

The risotto was under cooked and lacking the lightness, cluggy and stodgy

The potato cake with mushrooms- a disaster

The prawn cocktail was swimming in sauce felt like a thick soup

The 2 basic pizzas were ok - good crust too much cheese

Not a great experience, the menu could use a make over
