Was attracted here to Sicily primarily because of the great movie Cinema Paradiso only to discover this beautiful cinema in Cefalu, Italy’s oldest. It was closed for the holidays but maintenance work was in progress and the door was open and I was invited in by Andrea, from the third generation of the di Francesca family that opened the cinema back in 1909, upon which he most generously gave me an impromptu tour. Nessuna stella se potessi. Pessima esperienza e pessimo servizio. Il cinema prevede il servizio di prenotazione online col proprio sito, così abbiamo deciso di approfittarne dovendo fare strada per vedere il film di questa sera. Abbiamo effettuato prenotazione e pagamento, abbiamo fatto la fila, per poi sentirci dire che non c'erano più posti. Staff retrò, non pronto a gestire il servizio online: sembrava proprio cadessero dal pero quando abbiamo accennato alla prenotazione online. Ci hanno offerto di tornare domani, oppure di andare via o al massimo di accomodarci in giro per il cinema, anche per le scale se volevamo, con tutto che ci fosse una donna in attesa. Secondo loro non ci siamo saputi adattare. Morale della favola: abbiamo chiesto il rimborso e ci hanno mandato via senza neanche scusarsi e senza mostrare segni di mortificazione. CONSIGLIO????
