We had some good dinners here in Cetara, but we still wanted to try out this popular pizza place. So we decided on some take-out pizza for lunch on our last full day.

It was a bit after 1pm, so the line was short and most people already gone. Pizze here start as low as 3 Euros for a Pizza Margarita. I really thought it's the price for a slice at first. Silly me. In the end I went for a "more expensive" Pizza with Porcini and Salsiccia....cost was 4.50 Euros! The price for a real, full-size Pizza. Compare these prices to Rome, Milan or Florence. Service was quick and the pizza freshly made. So in just a matter of minutes I was on my way with the pizza. A short walk home, so the pizza was still hot and fresh at the time we ate it. And it was a good pizza! Nice tomato puree, nice flavors from the porcini and salsiccia. A good meal. The best pizza ever? No. But still a very good one.

Of course you also can grab one of the nice outdoor tables in front of the small restaurant. But it's a very popular place, so it's packed easily. No wonder for these prices....

We dined at this restaurant 2 times during our stay in Cetara, and for takeaway 1 time. Our first experience was spoilt somewhat by a moody waitress who was obviously not in a helpful mood. Shame as the food was good. 1 point to mention is the green salad €3 was only chopped iceburg lettuce, so it was disappointing as there is amazing local salad produce. We had takeaway pizza, and this was fabulous, super tasty, and faultless. On our last night, we went back as we really wanted the squid and prawns again. Luckily, we met the most handsome and friendly waiter, Vitorio. He was charming and friendly, he made our last night the best one !! We tried the bruscetta with archives, we loved them, and again also had pizza, prawn pasta, and seafood to share and a bottle of wine.. €75 euros for 4 adults.. happy and full. Robert even got to sign the wall in the restaurant!!! Thanks for a memorable evening, the Spilsbury...

position, lower prices rude and unwelcoming waitress, lower quality food

We visited this place twice. For the first time ordered pizza. Nothing extra, but it does its work for its price. The rude waitress (experienced woman with glasses, wearing black older shirt), unwelcoming, not taking care.

As we arrived for the second time in the evening. Other younger waitreses smiling and being nice -》we giving it another chance even throught waiting time for table. Unfortunately, that was the table of her older colleague. Again, without a word, without an offer of menu or a drink. She was taking care of her friends and drinking wine with them. After 10 minutes we decided to leave for a better service. Such a pity because of...
