This was the first restaurant on our list that we wanted to eat at when coming to Cetara. On the first day we arrived, they were closed for a wedding. We tried again 2 nights later and they were completely booked out. We finally got lucky on our last night here in Cetara by arriving as soon as they opened for dinner. We sat outside on the patio and were greeted immediately. The menu is on a stand out front and you take a picture with your phone. We were brought a small appetizer plate on the house that had 2 pieces of crunchy bread with a butter/cheese spread, lemon zest, and an anchovy. Super yummy and refreshing. My partner ordered 2 salads, the simple tomato and Parmesan spaghetti while I ordered the carbonara. The tomato spaghetti was probably the best and most simple dish we had in Cetara. It was so delicious and the garlic, basil, cheese, tomatoes, all worked perfectly together. The carbonara, while made exactly how it should be, was a bit too much in the egg and we filled up quick on that one. If you like carbonara, you will definitely love this one. We were also given a brown bag with bread in it on the house....
Read moreThis is a home style restaurant, the combination of simple local food and warm hospitality of the hosts Anna and Mimmo makes it one the best restaurants on the Amalfi coast in my opinion. The pasta with colatura di alici was as good as you would find in much more expensive restaurants in the same area. I had the polipi alla luciana and the sauce was so incredibly tasty I couldn't stop dipping their delicious home baked bread in it. Finally Mimmo brought me a small cup full of the sauce and some freshly baked focaccia just to let me indulge a bit more...totally unsolicited! At the end of the meal Anna gave me an orange from her dad's orchard, and they offered us limoncello and amaro!!! I can't wait to go back to Italy to eat there again....

The attentive lady (Anna) at the front will bring you into a full gastronomy Cetara experience and take care of you so nicely. Impressive the anchovies starter (different shades of anchovies), the spaghetti with colatura di alici, seared tuna (Delicius) and the grilled octopus cooked at perfection . Don’t miss the delizia al limone a dessert typical of this area. High recommended ! Filippo (Italian who lives...
