This is an amazing restaurant. It is located in a tiny, but refreshingly authentic, fishing town that seems worlds away from the touristy Positano and Amalfi. That being said it is easily accessed via the SITA bus so you can come here, as I did from Ravello, even if you are staying elsewhere. There are only a handful of tables (literally 3 tables of 2 and 2 of 4, plus a few outside if it's nice out), but if you are lucky enough to be one of the diners you are in for a treat. The staff is so friendly. The owner prepares the food lovingly and makes all the pasta by hand each day. The fish on the menu is available only if they caught it recently. The prices are extremely reasonable. And the food itself is absolutely delicious. It was my absolute pleasure to have found this restaurant and I am more than happy to support and recommend a business such as this one which is committed to taking a tiny space in a tiny town and preparing food the way it should be: fresh, by hand, and lovingly prepared and served with a smile. You won't find a fancy wine list here (choices are white or red), but you will find one of the most delicious, well priced, and authentic food experiences available on the Amalfi coast. It is my sincere hope that more people frequent places like this and towns like Cetara over the bigger 'name' towns to the West. For my wife and I, at least, it makes for a special meal and...
Read moreA fantastic dining experience in every respect on the entire Amalfi Coast! Ristorante Cetara Punto e Pasta is not a tourist place, but a place for connoisseurs! Absolutely authentic Italian atmosphere, local Italian dishes, good wine and friendly staff! Marco is a magician in the kitchen! He painted pictures on plates, not just dishes! We enjoyed the starters with Cetara anchovies. Marco welcomed us with a bottle of prosecco and crostini with salted anchovies with magic cream. We also tried stuffed anchovies, seafood pasta, pasta with mussels and almonds, tuna fillet. We wanted a pasta that was not on the menu and Marco prepared it especially for us! Compliment after compliment and with the traditional Delicia they brought us limoncello! It was magic that gathered the lemon aroma of the entire Amalfi Coast! Thank you! The prices, oh my, they are more than reasonable! In 8 days we traveled from Naples to Capri and Positano – there is no more authentic Italian place to eat than Cetara and Ristorante Cetara Punto e Pasta! We can't wait to go back tomorrow to this charming pasta spot! We will recommend the place to friends...
Read moreCute little restaurant on the main strip of Cetara. My wife and I came here on a date night and it was…just okay…kind of weird to be honest. When we arrived they told us to sit anywhere, so we chose a small table by the window. Five minutes later they told us to love because our table was reserved and they put us in a corner. They then moved two tables together for a party of four competent blocking us in the corner. No one could move and the woman at the other table had to get up every time he served our table.
Ravioli was 7/10, not life changing or cry inducing like other reviews. Good but not great. Waiter was clumsy, slow and sporadic. I tried to order three dishes and he told me they were all sold out. He then recommended the tuna, which I agreed to, but then brought me the squid. When I told him he brought the wrong order he left the squid sitting in front of me for 30 minutes while I waited for my tuna. My wife was done her dinner and wine long before mine showed up.
By the end we just wanted to pay and leave. He seemed offended that we didn’t want cake....
