We just had dinner at Al Convento tonight, with a huge disappointment on the quality of the food and the service. The waiter brought us the wrong drink (naturale instead of frizzante water). Our starter (parmigiana with alici) was cold on the inside. We waited 25 minutes after the starter for our main courses, which were terrible: fried seafood mix which my husband had came soggy with the different items at different temperatures (some were very cold and others lukewarm) -- they were obviously fried at the wrong temperature and at different times; my puttanesca sauce didn't taste like anything with what were obviously olives and capers from the can, and the spaghetti were very salty. The worst (and unfortunately most expensive) meal we've had in the South of Italy. Wouldn't have given even a single point, if not for the friendly cat that came to our table. This place...

This was our first time in Amalfi Coast and Cetara and we wanted to have as much seafood as we possibly can. We happened upon this place while walking around the village tonight and we do not regret it. No one spoke English but they were super friendly and we had no problem ordering.

We got the fried anchovies to start, and then we kinda split the ceviche, tuna tataki, and the gnocchi with squid (not ink!) sauce. Everything was delicious. But our favorite was the desert - we discovered Baba and we're not going back! It's a local desert of sweet dough soaked in alcohol (usually rum). It was sublime.

Total cost of our meal was 100 euros for 3 people with wine, which was incredibly reasonable. We paid way more for lunch in Positano earlier that day. Highly recommend coming here if you're...

I m with mixed feelings about its restaurant. On the on hand it serves delicious traditional heavy fisherman style cuisine (not that light stuff with two shrimps and one cherry tomato). Also the Patrone was very charming. On the other hand first they served the wrong anti Pasti and when I denied it and got crumpy. Also the basic tomato sugo was a burned and has a bitter taste so two meals where bitter. Also the Italian guests where very cosy and charming served, but the tourists not

I love this little place of cetara and it's hard to find that kind of fisherman cuisine. But when you Charme a u per class price, you have to be professional as a...
