We ate twice in this beautiful, bountiful unassuming restaurant in the middle of magical medieval Città della Pieve. The home made tagliatelle with cream, truffel and local sausage was beyond compare…had it both evenings. The mixed grill, the seafood dishes, the light bean salad were all exquisitely prepared, with the freshest ingredients and lovingly served. In agosto, durante il Palio dei Terzieri , la maggior parte dei turisti si accentra nei locali di Borgodentro e Casalino. Noi , nel Terzierie Castello , con la complicità del piacevole refolo d'aria che scende lungo la via Garibaldi , abbiamo trovato il nostro pranzo ideale. Simpaticamente accuditi dalla romanità di Maurizio e dalla garbata professionalità di Zikra, abbiamo gustato degli strepitosi pici all'aglione, seguiti da una tagliata dalla succulenta morbidezza, accompagnata da fagioli cannellini con cipolla rossa , il tutto condito da un eccellente olio EVO. Ottimo il suggerimento del rosso al calice, profumato blend di Sangiovese , Merlot, Gamay e Cabernet Sauvignon. Semplicità decisamente convincente , grazie alla evidente qualità degli ingredienti.
