Antica Trattoria Dominissini — Restaurant in Cividale del Friuli

My wife and I came in for dinner late on a Friday night. The restaurant was closing in 30 minutes, but they seated us anyway. We ordered two glasses of a local white wine, that was out of this world. We liked it so much, that we bought a bottle to take home (pic attached).

My wife ordered the pasta with tuna and I had the grilled shrimp (pictured). Both were very very good, and the pasta was incredible. Yum!

As we joined the restaurant we were kindly asked to come back at 21:15 (in 45 min) as all tables outside are currently full. We came back exactly at 21:15 and stood in the entrance for 10 min where nobody cared about us. During that two wannabe upper class women cut in and took the one table which just got free. My husband and I went there wanting to experience Sicilian cuisine again. We traveled a lot through Italy but the pasta here was the best we ever had! It was cooked “al dente” to perfection.
