L'Ostaria da Besic — Restaurant in Comun General de Fascia

We were wednesday the 16th of January visiting L’ostaria da Besic. We got good service and a caring waiter. Unfortunately I ordered some baked potatoes, they were for sure reheated, but I didn’t put that much attention to it at that point - more then they didn’t taste that well. Things happen and the rest of the family got nice and good food. My husband ate some of my potato’s aswell.

Anyway - 4 hours later me and my husband almost at the same time got terrible sick - there is no doubt it’s a food poisoning. It was ongoing for 6-10 hours. The rest of the family that didn’t eat the potatoes didn’t have any reaction. This is things that can happen - not fun, not good - but of course not anyone do on purpose. I send a message to the restaurant as soon as I could ( as I was pretty sick) saying they shouldn’t serve those potatoes to others.

Here is why my complain. Suddenly it’s all my fall and not close to a reaction or at least a friendly message back … it could have been enough saying thanks for the information- we hope it’s not from us but will if course look into it….. Instead i got this answer :

We Made all fresh every day, impossible was for our food beleve me. We are very serious with food. You can ask in Canazei about us…

Why yesterday you didn’t tell to the waiter? Please cancel the feedback on Google.

We sold yesterday 85 portions of roast potatoes

This is for me the worst service ever

I love Canazei and everything about it here- and I will for sure put my feet here again - but not at...

During our visit to Canazei, we had the pleasure of dining at Da Besim L’Ostaria, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly lady who immediately offered us a perfect table on the terrace, where we could enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Soon after, we met Nicolas, a waiter whose positive energy and genuine hospitality instantly made us feel at home.

The menu offered a great variety of dishes, and we chose the Caesar Salad, which turned out to be exceptionally delicious—fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavor. Throughout our meal, Nicolas made sure we had everything we needed, always attentive without ever being intrusive.

All in all, Da Besim L’Ostaria left a lasting impression. With excellent food, a warm atmosphere, and service that truly stands out, we highly recommend this restaurant....

We ate here tonight as the restaurant looked appealing with its outside covered area. We both ordered the burger option as we saw another diner being served this and it looked very nice. We asked the waiter for the burger to be well done as many European restaurants cook them medium rare. When the burger arrived and we cut into it the centre was very rare which was a disappointment. The food was tasteless and the time from ordering to the food arriving at the table suggested that the burger had been pre cooked. The staff were not particularly friendly, we were never asked how the meal was nor were we offered dessert or coffee. There is a €2 service charge per person which is in tiny text in the menu. Our two burgers and two drinks came to just under €60, don’t waste your money on this experience there are better options...
