We gave a thank-you dinner for our host family and friends at this restaurant on saturday 5 November. As there were nearly 10 diners the retaurant seated us at their prized table a round table which was the only one present in the restaurant. As we are familiar with chinese food we did the ordering but it proved dificult as in western countries like Italy chinese dishes are served in portions for one diner. We wanted our diners to sample a wide range of chinese food as for most of them this was their first time they were trying this cusine. The other problem was although we specified how the dishes should be served the dishes came as they cooked it. Yet despite the setbacks all the diners enjoyed the variety of dishes from appetizers to soups to main dishes of pork,chicken,beef and prawns. I didn’t know what to expect from Chinese food in Italy and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the quality! Had a large group for a birthday and we were treated with nice wine, fried rice (risotto), dumplings (gnocchi), spring rolls (involtino primavera), and sweet and sour pork (maiale in agrodolce). Il ristorante cinese Drago d’Oro ha superato ogni mia aspettativa, lasciandomi pienamente soddisfatto sotto ogni aspetto. Prima di tutto, devo sottolineare la velocità sorprendente con cui sono riusciti a gestire la mia ordinazione: in pochi minuti avevo già tutto pronto, senza alcun ritardo. Questo è stato un grande vantaggio, specialmente per chi, come me, cerca un pasto delizioso senza lunghe attese.

Un altro aspetto che mi ha colpito è stata la temperatura dei piatti: sono arrivati a casa caldissimi, come se fossero appena usciti dalla cucina. Non è una cosa da poco, soprattutto quando si tratta di cibo d'asporto, dove spesso si rischia di ricevere piatti tiepidi o, peggio, freddi.

La cordialità del personale è un’altra nota di merito. Ho avuto modo di parlare al telefono con loro, e sono stati estremamente gentili e disponibili. Hanno risposto con pazienza e precisione a tutte le mie domande, dimostrando una professionalità rara e un’attenzione al cliente che non si trova dappertutto.
