“EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE & VIEWS OF THE LAKE” despite all the bad reviews you find on the internet (those reviews are wrong, dated view of older restaurant mgmt/team)

All of our orders (table of 8) came out more or less on time and were delightfully prepared and tasty ... which is not always the case, when a restaurant has a great view ... this restaurant has a great sweeping view of the lake and the offshore islands

Food is double menu - upscale traditional Italian fare, and diverse pizza menu ... we ate off both menus with 6 adults ranging from 20s to 50s to 60s plus 16 and 18 y/o daughters GRAN FRITTO MISTO - €24 - excellent breading (not greasy at all), great range of white fish, sardines (very small), squid, etc. LA GRECA - 14 € - feta, pomodori, cetrioli, cipolla rossa, olive nere al forno, peperoncino verde in agrodolce (feta, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, baked black olives, sweet and sour green chillis) MARGHERITA pizza - tomato, mozzarella and basil - €8 .. plus several pizzas (forgot the names) that are on the printed menu but not the website ... 20 or so to choose from DESSERTS were huge & great - tiramisu €7, panna cotta €6, sorbets, more and more

Giorgio, Fernando & Caroline were our primary waitstaff and each was informed, polite/happy/charming/helpful (even tho one of them basically has no English, he went out of his way to make it clear in Italian sign language/gestures)

One of the servers shared that there was major management change was 3 months ago and that is why everyone is so happy, and the food so good (!) And the 75% negative reviews online were so wrong

About the place and service : poor and insane, no service, just a canteen for animals in a very noisy place : impossible to seat and talk.

Wrong table setting: our table for 5 booked a day before to be sure to get a decent place with view. Instead, our table has been given by mistake to another family of 4. No apologies, staff turning around for 15 mn to improvise a poor quick and dirty arrangement .

30 min to see a waiter coming and asking. No menus but only QR and only in Italian. After 1.5 hr we were asked to go !!!! while of the restaurant was half empty and we were welcomed to take a dessert as a "take away".

To end up the evening, no card payment was possible while the restaurant is far away from any bank.

About the food:

Starter ok. Pizza below any standard. Cheap made, quick and dirty and cheap ingredients. Result is cheap and bad. This is not a restaurant, at best a canteen.

Conclusion : poor recommendation. Bad place, noisy, poor service and quality of ingredients below standard.

We are owner of 2 restaurants, just shocked. Don't ask us if the chef came to great clients which is called education and customer service.

There is here none. Expensive canteen and cheap food. Turnrate of customers is what...

This was by far the worst service we have experienced in years.

We had reserved a table outside. When it started raining, umbrellas were opened and there was still plenty of space to stay seated outside, but instead we were sent indoors without any real explanation – and completely ignored at first. No one came to take a drink order or even acknowledge us. Only after we asked were we reluctantly referred to another waiter, who also showed no real interest.

Inside, the situation did not improve. Not once did anyone check if everything was okay. The staff seemed indifferent, almost condescending.

The food was disappointing as well: one pizza was dry and had far too little cheese. Instead of remaking it or at least reheating it properly with more cheese, they simply microwaved a bit of mozzarella and threw it on top of the cold pizza. When we pointed this out, they argued instead of offering a solution, insisting it already contained the “correct amount” of cheese – which was clearly untrue.

Worst of all, throughout the entire experience we never received a single apology – not even a hint of one.

Conclusion: The worst service in years, disappointing food, and unprofessional staff. Absolutely not...
