Chiecco is a beautiful, authentic Italian restaurant located on the mountain of Courmayeur, Italy. We came here twice in one week and were never disappointed. Making a reservation was easy, and we got in every time. When we arrived, we sat quickly by our server. Anna (the manager) welcomed us, and she was fantastic. She recommended some great local Italian wine and other dishes. After receiving our drinks, we ordered. While ordering, our waiter made some recommendations for his favorite dishes. The timing for the food was perfect; it gave you some time to soak in the fantastic atmosphere while also enjoying your drink. For five people, we ordered a bottle of wine, three appetizers, five mains, and three desserts. The food tasted fresh and flavorful, with the portions being ideal. Our plates were cleared, and dessert came shortly after. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. For everyone saying, “The manager swears at the staff, she is super mean, she wants you to spend money.” That is not true at all. From someone who is Italian, it is customary to yell at each other and then love one another. The manager makes excellent recommendations, and the food is the average price for slope-side dining. Overall, please come here and support this business. The food is fantastic, the service is out of the world, and the manager has a great sense of humor and will ensure you enjoy your time at...
Read moreThis may have been one of the best restaurants I’ve been to across the world. Located on Telecabina Dolonne-Courmayeur Mont Blanc Funivie, this apres ski/mountain restaurant offers fantastic views, service, and food. The wife Anna took phenomenal care of us, her husband Paolo is an outstanding cook, and it of course wouldn’t be complete without their Black Lab mascot Bum. Everything on their menu was absurdly phenomenal, I wouldn’t know what to recommend. Anything from the photos I’d recommend, but likewise I would also ask what is fresh and such. Their wine selection was also phenomenal, local, and honest! Be sure to order only what you will eat, otherwise you will be told to finish in a friendly Italian way. The restaurant is only open with the ski lift so it’s not all year round. Be sure to check out...
Read moreThe highest quality meal you’ll have in the mountain. We’ve visited a number of times over the years, what stands out in the quality and high level of food. The menu changes often, it’s all very good, clearly the chef is skilled and they are very proud of their food. It’s all very rich in flavour. This year I will note that it feels like they have more staff, and perhaps more orchestrated, not a had thing, I just felt in prior years, it was a case of squeezing everyone in shoulder to shoulder, the waiters tripping over helmets and coats while the dog was running circles, where as now it was a bit more chill. This said, I liked it either way. The owner of the restaurant is still there, and she is exactly the same (if you...
