The view of the Grivola and the overview of the ski slopes from the Christiania VIP balcony are amazing. The style of the elegantly renovated interior rooms maintains the mountain tradition and characteristic, with a very particular marine touch in several points. The dehors overlook the entire beautiful Plan Checrouit, which can also be reached by no-skiers and the disabled. The terrace overlooks all the slopes of Colle Checrouit and from mid-February also the sunset. The fabulous cuisine and pizzeria, the Bar with its cafeteria-aperitifs and the superlative table service! The smiling Staff that is found over the years is confirmation of a high level management since 1991. I'm grateful to Christiania restaurant and pizzeria for all the wonderful days, evenings and parties, for the good food both from the sea and from the mountains and the good wine, for the pizza and the stratospheric schiaccine and for that window of the Christiania Ice Bar in front of the Ski School overlooking Mont Blanc which gives young and old a chance to enjoy...
Read moreChristiania has been a point of reference for our family for years. Francesco is such a great host and together with his dad Carlo make this place special and welcoming. The service is a true reflection of the ethos of the restaurant: the Staff is nice and kind and they always share jokes with kids, which creates such a lovely environment. Special shout out for Antonio and Manuel: they look after you very well and they are so nice and friendly. We really love them! Food is great and the kitchen is so well organised that you can have a quick lunch and go back to the slopes. They have enough space to accomodate lots of people, either inside the restaurant or on the outside balcony at the back or terrace at the top (with a great view), but it can get crowded during the 2 weeks post Christmas and in February, so it would be better to book a table with Francesco. I highly recommend...
Read moreAbsolutely disgraceful. Booked a table and told we would need to vacate after a set period of time. Late in taking our order and then advised we would have to wait too long for pizza. Asked for a bottle of Prosecco (35 euros)and then advised of a local rose fizz by one waitress at a similar price. Had to wait and ask again, brought a bottle of Prosecco and Rose fizz to select. Chose the rose fizz as it was local and a change, only to be charged 100 euros for the bottle. Questioned the cost to be bombarded by testosterone fuelled males and a waitress who denied advising us of the price. Not a good experience and definitely...
