Very disappointed that after a personal recommendation, we walked up the hill to find a busy restaurant but clearly there were tables free. A very rude waitress asked us if we had a reservation - we didn’t. She said in German (fortunately I can speak a little Deutsch) “can we come tomorrow?!” And there were actually some guests that saw us arrive who were finishing and offered to pay and give us their table. “No please come tomorrow” 😳! A pleasant and nice spot at Lake Como with a charming atmosphere, although there’s a bit of inconsistency in the experience. The food is delicious, but for the price, the portions could be a bit more generous. It seems that the goal of 100% satisfaction is just slightly out of reach, with some minor details falling short. However, the warmhearted operators make up for it with their hospitality. The food was average & the staff was unfriendly. Upon arrival a woman of the staff made the remark that our children had to be quiet… I mean come on, we had to be seated, take a look at the menu and then they went to the parking to play so there was no “noise at all”. Very annoying to begin with.
