Enoteca Fattori — Restaurant in Empoli

Since we read reviews on Google we went to Empoli just to have dinner at Enoteca Fattori. First the opening hours on Google did not respond to what the employee told us ( we where there at 18.55 and he told us that diner can be order in 40, maybe 45min, after 19.30.. we where no even offered to sit and have a wine or other drink). Than in 30 min we tried to have a sit, try some wines and wait for the dinner time but this time ( now 2 emplyees) we where told that Italians eat late so maybe it is to early to sit.. not to mention that we where not offered to sit at all.. in a empty place.

To all the travelers.. Don't waste Your time on trying to sit at this restorant, there are other few good ones in Empoli. Dont't trust the good reviews You...

Appena entrato noto un locale molto piccolo. Solo pochi tavoli, molto stretti, tutti per due persone e poco distanziati gli uni dagli altri. Utilizzo il bagno per lavarmi le mani e nell'uscire sbatto la testa contro un soffitto troppo basso... Non un buon inizio.

Nonostante le dimensioni il locale è ben curato, un classico soffitto storico e numerose bottiglie di rosso danno un tocco di familiarità all'ambiente. Mi sorprende vedere una cucina a vista, oramai diventata piuttosto rara.

Sono un'amante del proverbio "pochi piatti ma ben fatti" ma il menù è troppo scarno anche per me. Poca la scelta. Due antipasti, due primi e tre secondi. Totale l'assenza di contorni che avrei assaggiato di buon grado.

Ordino i piatti tradizionali ed un bicchiere di rosso. Nell'attesa soffro un po' di freddo dovuto alla bassa temperatura dell'impianto di riscaldamento, che il proprietario, dopo mia richiesta provvede ad aumentare. L' antipasto con crostone e salmone è veramente ben progettato, i sapori si sposano perfettamente tra loro, frutto di uno studio non indifferente. Il secondo piatto è il "peposo toscano" che si presenta morbido ma molto saporito. Il rosso è eccellente, degno di un'enoteca. Per finire i cantucci con vinsanto, un pò secchi ma discreti se pasteggiati con quest'ultimo. Il pranzo si conclude con un caffè. Devo ammettere non buono, probabilmente fatto in cialda.

La qualità dei piatti è assolutamente distinta, non altrettanto per ciò che riguarda la quantità. Fossi entrato nel locale con più appetito avrei dovuto ordinare un altro piatto. Spendo un totale di trentuno euro, uscendo dal ristorante piuttosto soddisfatto.

Ottime le potenzialità. Alcune scelte da rivedere.

Do not recommend. Very rude service when we inquired about the establishment and what it offered. Did not try the food or wine here on account of the immediately poor attitude we received. Very unfriendly. We have been travelling Italy and providing great reviews on google as we have encountered them, so we need to set the record straight...
