Cala Masciola — Restaurant in Fasano

Absolutely gorgeous views and great food, somewhat stymied by slow and poor service (at least if you speak english). We had the fish of the day which was Branzino and was delicious, so was our salad. I had to go to the bar to get my drinks as the wait staff couldn’t be bothered. I did that after receiving a tip from the guests next to us who were also frustrated by the service. Drinks felt overpriced for the region (€16 vs typical €6-10) and food was on the pricey side as well. You’re paying for the views though to be clear which is fine but there are other places nearby with similar views and much cheaper drinks (Ottagono for instance).

We had a lunch time there with a couple of snacks as well as a gala dinner. Lunch was pretty amazing, for 20 € we had super nice shrimps with a good sandwich and burrata. One could say expensive, but we expected even crazier prices - and the quality was very good.

Rude and unsympathetic staff. Food was okay, but overpriced compared to other restaurants in the neighbourhood (we spent over €300 on lunch). We also were not allowed to take a quick swim in the sea after dinner (because we didnt book any sunbeds at €50 a piece), and the manager yelled at us when we left.
