Banchina 100 Bistrot — Restaurant in Fiumicino

In Italy we say “Good wine is in the small barrel” and so it is for Bisboa Restaurant. Small , nice , cozy, refined place where they were able to combine seafood and meat in a delicious and sophisticated ( but easy) way. We tried:

Ravioli con Carbonara: Ravioli pasta filled with creamy, delicious carbonata filling and crunchy Guanciale on the top. Sandwich with grilled eggplant, Caciocavallo cheese and confit tomatoes and Rucola. Fresh and tasty, the bread seemed to be homemade, very light. Tuna grilled fish with grilled eggplants, light and tasty and a little “spicy” thanks to the rucolaz.

The must have: Crostata Scomposta dessert. They made every ingredient from scratch, the cream, the crumble and the jam. No spoiler for this, you must try it!

Definitely a place you should visit once in Fiumicino! All the people working there were super nice and super professional!

We had a recommendation to travel to this area from our hotel at the Rome Airport. Our Uber dropped us off and as we reviewed the different options and we located Banchina 100. We decided to come to this particular restaurant because they offered a menu with both seafood and non seafood options where the other restaurants had maybe only 1 dish. The food was amazing! And our server, Anja, was wonderful. She recommended a couple dishes and all were fantastic! We would highly recommend this restaurant and both Anja and the owner. An excellent dinner was enjoyed-stopped for a drink, but after tasting a bottle of the local red wine we decided to continue and went on to really enjoy a wonderful evening meal-we shared the seafood platter and both had the seared tuna on aubergine and peppers, beautifully presented and a lovely taste. Tiramisu to die for and a glass of Grappa with coffee to finish. Cannot recommend this any higher-the standard of food, presentation and service staff made an excellent and enjoyable evening.
