La Marina Ristorante — Restaurant in Fiumicino

We recently visited the restaurant "La Marina," and unfortunately, the experience was far from positive. The value for money is inadequate: paying a premium for dishes that lack both quality and quantity was a disappointment. The hospitality was one of the most negative aspects. The lady at the entrance seemed annoyed by even the smallest request, which created an unpleasant atmosphere right from the start. To make matters worse, the constant flow of bracelet and rose sellers weaving between tables became truly intrusive, making it impossible to relax and enjoy the meal. Sadly, the owner of this establishment appears unwilling to accept constructive criticism. Negative reviews are met with offensive and arrogant responses, an attitude I find extremely disappointing and unprofessional as a customer. If you love fresh seafood—especially raw dishes—La Marina is a must-visit!

We started with an amazing selection of raw fish and shellfish—exceptionally fresh and beautifully presented. Then came a generous mixed platter of grilled and fried seafood, followed by a pasta with clams that was simply out of this world.

We ended the meal with a whole fish cooked in a rich tomato sauce. While it wasn’t my personal favorite, everyone else in our group loved it.

Value for money was excellent, especially considering the quality and variety of the dishes.

The only suggestion I have is about the terrace—it was quite hot during our visit, and a few wall-mounted fans would have made the experience even better.

Highly recommended for seafood lovers...

La cucina di pesce qui è un capolavoro (a masterpiece) assoluto.

For all you Americans like me, please just try to say “grazie” (thanks) e “delizioso” (delicious) and you’ll be treated great. Don’t listen to the reviews complaining about the “bad service.” (I always wonder whether it’s really the restaurant or the reviewer).

This place is the best seafood restaurant in Fiumicino maybe one of the best in Italy. Go go go. Try the Scampi crudu (raw shrimp). Mama mia a revelation. Spaghetti and clams! I thought mine was good. I need to pick up my game. Grilled fish - jumped out of the Mediterranean. And the wine list is incredible.
