Old Wild West Fiumicino — Restaurant in Fiumicino

I'm a dual citizen American/Italian living in America so I guess you could say I'm a little biased when it comes to the food but this place missed the mark. The double bacon cheese burger, that they claim as their best, was sub-par. There was one extremely tiny piece of bacon on it, pretty much no cheese and the burger patties themselves lacked any flavor. I understand I'm in Italy, but I had been craving a taste of America before my flight so I though I would give it a try....never again. And, the price was crazy. Out of all the restaurants I ate at during my time in Italy of over a month, this place was the most expensive. Just look at the pictures of the burger I posted and see for yourself. I loved the atmosphere and the service! The place is really clean and did remind me of an American restaurant. Our server was so helpful because I’m American and couldn’t understand the menu. The food was great, but their side dishes are definitely not from Texas. lol. It’s still very Italian even though the menu is somewhat American. The interior is cute. I got a ribeye and my husband got the full rack of ribs. His was a bit too raw for me and I’m sure we could’ve easily asked them to throw the ribs back on the grill and they would’ve done it. They don’t have steak sauce but rather it comes with a dressing which I thought was interesting. They don’t have mashed potatoes but their fries are like mashed potatoes. They’re delicious! So, I’ve been in a lot of various American restaurants, but this one was the worst. It’s not like food wasn’t tasty, it’s just too small portion for such huge price! I ordered Pulled Ribs Burger for 13€ but there was barely any meat inside, and the whole burger was so small that I thought it was a joke xd Potato fries were very good tho, same with BBQ sauce. But as i said, for this price it should be twice as big. That was the most expensive restaurant we have visited in Italy and we were in the centre of Rome in many restaurants where prices are not low. Staff were nice and helpful.
