Ristorante Miranda — Restaurant in Fiumicino

Updated as I just saw there was a response: There is 100% a link on trip advisor that takes you to a website where you can “book a table”. Which again showed availability the day we went. We were NOT asked if we have a reservation and had to say it ourselves the staff were ready to turn us away as soon as we walked in.

I think the worst part of all was seeing the basically empty restaurant and being told they would not be able to serve us at all that day with no explanation. Then right after us a family came in and got seated immediately. I would say tourist stay away especially if you are a person of color.

Initial review: Came in for a late lunch - could have made a reservation at 2pm for our party but wanted to confirm they were open. Immediately we were turned away - we are an Asian American family so definitely felt like an attack.

CHEAP prices for the quality and amount of fresh seafood that you get here. I think everyone also gets 1 glass of their house wine for free. Patronized by locals, thus very little English, but Ristorante Miranda does have an English menu.

My daughter LOVED her Crab Pasta. I personally found this entree to be bland and had to squeeze a ton of lemon slices to add flavor. When I ordered mussels, I received a champagne bucket’s worth of delicious mussels for $10 Euros. We tried but couldn’t finish, since it was unexpectedly large. The seafood salad was also extremely large with tons of fresh seafood for $10 Euros.

The waiter was also funny; While I was cracking the crab from my daughter’s entree, he noticed how messy I was and grabbed 3 large napkins and 5 wet wipe packets for me…we all had a great laugh while pantomiming (due to our lack of Italian fluency and his lack of...

My first time at this restaurant and a very positive one I have to say. Friendly staff that showed us to our table even though we did not make a reservation in advance. Ofcourse this place is full with Italian families on a saturdayafternoon for pranzo. We had as a starter fried baby octopus with ginger mayo and sea salad which was very tasty and fresh. After that our divine pasta was served hot. Spaghetti with clams and Fettuccine with seafood. Both were excellent! Comparing to the high level of the rest we had expected more of the desserts. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars for sure.
