The Owl Public House — Restaurant in Fiumicino

I fell for all the good reviews and went there for dinner from the hotel next door. Not a good idea as the chips & fish, because there were plenty of chips but a small, tail end of greasy fried fish on top. Probably the worst I’ve ever had. Even the chips had no flavor to them until we asked for salt. Asked for ketchup and received three small packets of McDonald’s size ketchups with one of those even being bbq sauce. Guys working had little enthusiasm and seemed put out to wait on us. Only bright spot was the beer was fine. Should’ve stayed next door and had a nice dinner at the Isola...

The fries and onion rings were good. But the pizza and burger were definitely not. The nachos were the crumbs from the bottom of the bag in a bowl soaking in the toppings and they were completely soggy. We asked for a vegetarian pizza and they absolutely covered it with thawed frozen spinach and didn't use cheese. We chose not to eat at the hotel restaurant. We found The Owl Public House. Loved it! We had been on a cruise and just wanted something familiar to eat and quick.

My husband had Fish & Chips, I had a Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. Both meals were very good. The place was not huge but it was comfortable. Two televisions were showing a Football/Soccer game. It felt like a real Irish...
