Circolo 25 Aprile — Restaurant in Florence

On the long flight home we had the opportunity to speak of the favorite parts of our trip and Casa deli Popolo XXV Aprile made the list as one of our favorite dining experiences. We went there on a Sunday evening on a holiday weekend when many local places were closed. The facilities include a bar/snack bar with outside seating, a media/event room (which was full of men and boys watching a soccer game), a social room (occupied by women and children enjoying karaoke and sing-along), and the restaurant (which filled quickly with groups of all ages sometimes accompanied by their very well behaved dogs). It was not in the top five of our “best food in Italy”, but it did serve very good food from a varied menu at a very reasonable price. My wife still thinks that the pizza she had there was her favorite of those she tasted during our three-week trip. Sono stata a mangiare con mio marito al ristorante "kilometro 0". Il locale è molto arioso e ampio e anche i tavoli sono disposti in modo distante e questo permette di avere più intimità ma anche di dare meno fastidio ai tavoli adiacenti se si va con dei bambini piccoli. Il personale è molto gentile. Abbiamo mangiato una pizza, un calzone e due dolci. La pizza era decisamente buona non troppo alta né bassa. E gli ingredienti sembravano veramente freschi. Il calzone forse un po troppo farcito e pesante. I dolci buoni. Abbiamo speso con due birre, acqua e coperto 40 euro....

Proprio non ci siamo, pizze di gomma con ingredienti scadenti, servite fredde e senza nessun garbo da parte del servizio, antipasti di crostini freddi, anzi congelati tolti dal frigo e portati in tavola, preparati con ingredienti impossibili da mangiare. Locale freddo, deprimente, perniente accogliente. Prezzi esagerati, no tanto perché la pizzeria fa parte di un circolo, ma perché i prodotti che servono non sono di qualità.
