Jazz Bistrot - JB7 - Ristorante Caffetteria Pasticceria Pizzeria — Restaurant in Florence

I'd like to recommend this place to anyone visiting Florence. It’s a very comfortable spot with a super friendly and kind staff. I first went there for lunch to pass the time until my hotel check-in time. I was greeted by a kind man, probably one of the owners, who helped me with some questions I had. The background music was very pleasant, and the pasta I ordered was divine, not to mention the tiramisu. I could have eaten five more of those. I stayed there for about two hours and felt very comfortable. I returned in the evening two more times, and there was a very cool live performance. I ordered a beef dish with cheese that was incredibly good. The meat was perfect, and the wine suggested by the maître was delicious it was great evening. Then I went back and found it very noisy outside, so I asked to change my table. I was quickly accommodated and moved to a much quieter area with great quality jazz music. Wow, wow, wow! What a lovely restaurant! The food was fantastic! We ordered: Cacio E Pepe Con Filange' Di Calamari, Carbonara Con Rigatino E Carpaccio Di Tartufo Nero, Tagliata Di Manzo Con Osso, Cheesecake Al Cucchiaio, and Fantasia Jazz (Mignon Assortite). The pastas were so creamy and flavorful; presented in a perfect twirl in a fancy bowl plate thing. The steak was presented on a hot green marble slab and I can still hear it sizzling. The steak was seared to perfection keeping a nice crust on the outside and a little juice bomb that was the inside. The deserts we're very unique, the cheesecake was a no bake style I believe served in a little glass cup, the strawberry jam was fresh. The assorted deserts where also really good and really unique (so good we went back and got some more the next morning). Presentation and taste were amazing. Service was also very good. I can't wait to go back to Firenze to stop...

Really frustrating experience. We ordered 2 main courses. A chicken with rosemary and Tyme and a beef burger.

The chicken came out without any rosemary or herbs of any kind and was bland.

The beef burger came out completely rare, and undercooked. If I would have eaten it, I would have gotten sick.

We then changed my partners meal to a chicken Caesar salad… and I re ordered the burger again.

The salad came out with the exact same chicken, which now tasted of fish and my burger was average at best.

The waiter apologised and offered us 2 free drinks, but at the end of the night we got charged full price for the drinks.

Terrible experience would...
