Excellent food. They have plenty of vegan options and cater to allergies. Ask for their advice and they will even tweak other dishes in the menu.

For us, they took the dish that was inside the menu, focaccia with ham; switched ham with some mushrooms, onion and zucchini.

We also tried salmon carpaccio; tuna in poppy seeds, pizza, fish tacos and mixed salads. Everything is fresh and tasty.

this pizza was the best I've had in Italy so far! It was crispy on the crust, soupy in the middle, the flavours were well balanced, and at €6 for the full pizza it was a bargain! I split the pizza with my partner as I've been gorging on food the past couple of days but I regretted it as soon as I was finished. I just wanted more! We also had a glass of the house red which was delicious too! The decor of the restaurant was elegant and classy, and the atmosphere was cozy...

I was looking for an authentic Italian restaurant to eat at. Fed up of all the tourist restaurants, I did some research and found Tortuga. I’m so glad I did.

This was a long walk from the city of Florence, but was well worth it. This was the best meal we’d had in Florence. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even with the language barrier.
