No English here, which I love! Incredible food. The owner and head chef, Salvatore, cooks in an open kitchen. He gifted me a bottle of white! We ate most of the large appetizer plate. Ordered three pizzas, too. Too much food, but such good leftovers. Pizza is so delicious. If in Firenze, this Stater says it's a "must eat here" place. We spent 86€ on the meal, tax and a 20% tip included. The meal was for three people.
It has been 15 months since we ate here. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the food, atmosphere and service are here. We celebrated my birthday at Templari!!!!! It was so special. Met Salvatore's wife and a daughter. They gifted us a bottle of prosecco. Even Salvatore had a glass with us! We are eating here again tonight (our third time this trip.) It is our favorite place in Firenze. I would give it ten stars if I could. I love there is so little English spoken here. It makes me practice my Italiano. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Now it is Maggio 2025. We come here at least twice each time we have visited Firenze. We try something different on the menu, every time. I had an incredible filet di terra. The girls had risotto with asparagus. My sorella had the piatto di frutti di mare. All five stars. We shared tartare for antipasti. The absolute best tartare I have ever eaten and I have eaten it in five countries. My sorella, born and raised here, agreed! Not the last time we will eat here. The servers are friendly, interesting, and have fascinating stories. Such graciousness and class. Our favorite ristorante in Firenze! We love you Salvatore e famiglia! Hugs to you, the chef, and...
Read moreAll around great experience. I placed a reservation and was greeted by name. I thought this was a nice touch. The owner was welcoming and the staff was friendly. I speak very little Italian but they were able to understand broken Spanish mixed with Italian and dropped to English if needed. I am sure they may have been irked by it, though we appreciated their compassion. We had the Gnocci Primer Plati and a Mushroom Tortelloni Primer Plati instead of antipasti. For our mains, we had the veal and onion (i forget the name) and the Florentine steak. We werent fond of the mushroom tortelloni, though mushrooms arent everyone's fancy. While the shape of the gnocci was new to us, it tasted wonderful. The steak perfectly cooked to my personal tastes, though I will admit they did not ask for preference. Perhaps mention ypur preference if coming here (my opinion is to enjoy it how it comes, as you are in their country). The veal was great, though hard to compare with the steak. We skipped dessert, too much food! We had the house red wine, which matched well with our meal. Ive read reviews that spoke negatively of the service, to which I cannot agree. The staff gave us adequate time to enjoy our meal and give us the time to do so with enough attention to ensure we enjoyed everything. I HIGHLY recommend I Templari! My ONLY complaint is the WiFi requires guests to send a passcode to their email....which requires internet access to retrieve. This isnt possible for people without internet access....negating the...
Read moreAs we sat down, we were greeted by very friendly and nice staffs, and we were offered some focaccia (slightly salted pizza dough). They’re light and crispy, pretty good. Food came in short time (around 10 minutes tor pasta, and 20 minutes for meat). Pasta here is very delicious, with a good balance of pasta sauce and pasta. The pasta is slightly undercooked and chewy, and sauce clings nicely onto the pasta. The portions for the pasta are also very generous. The price is also reasonable (€10-16) The T bone is pretty expensive (€55/kg, which ours costed €99). The texture is extremely tender, feels like butter. It’s also cool the staff plated it infront of us after cooking. Presentation wise, it’s very nice looking. However I would say it does not got much of a taste to it. I probably would not order again. The sea bass is all right, but too expensive (€26) for the portion and quality. They have deboned the sea bass for us, so the skin and bones are gone (I personally prefer a crispy skinned sea bass served as a whole). The sea bass is smooth, but not much taste to it. A bit disappointing. They also mentioned it will be served with a salad, which the sea bass came with a few slices of potato and tomato. All in all the sea bass is pretty tasteless. For dessert, we’ve had the tiramisu and ice cream. They’re all right. So far this is a pretty good restaurant in terms of pasta. However for the protein wise, it’s...
