Ultima Spiaggia — Restaurant in Follonica

Very disappointing! Out of 4 dishes tried, only 1 tasted very well, namely the pasta with black squid. The others were tasteless (baccala and catch of the day) or even a bit disgusting to me (prawn quenella - which came raw, whereas this was not specified on the menu. I'm French and a quennele is cooked normally!). It would be easy to improve the dishes, eg add a sauce to the grilled fish. The service was quite rude and not very attentive. They insisted strongly on ordering a starter. I don't drink alcohol yet got served a glass of wine without the staff asking me first. Also, at some point they put these very bright lights on our table, without asking again. Then, seeing the price-quality this was really a bad deal. There's tons of better restaurants which are much cheaper. La Veranda near Grosseto has great service and fantastic food for much lower prices. (Their location is not as good, but I come for the...

Such a lovely place with delicious food, professional staff who speak multiple languages, and a beautiful view. Very fair pricing for this level of service and food quality. We had dinner for four people—starters and main courses—and couldn’t even make it to dessert because we were so full! Hopefully next time we’ll get to try the desserts as well. Highly recommend!

The raw fish platter for two was generous—easily enough for four people—and we ordered additional starters on top. The scallop starter was outstanding, and both the ribs and tuna tataki were absolutely delicious.

Very lovely restaurant on the beach with wonderful owners and courteous staff. They were all very kind & attentive and the service was great, from the beginning until the end. Excellent food, the dishes are plated and presented beautifully! Everything was absolutely delicious. They have a good wine selection as well. After lunch, we stayed on the beach and rented an umbrella. It was very clean, the umbrellas & chairs seemed quite new and modern compared to the other places/beaches around the same area for the same price. We had a great day and enjoyed a very relaxing time with some drinks and snacks from the bar. We stayed and watched the sunset, with a nice aperitif to finish this beautiful day at the beach.
