This place does not disappoint! The celebration of flavours made me wish the family running the place would adopt me! The selection of vegetables along with the stewed beef in ragu (melts in your mouth while your eyes slowly roll back in your head) and the thin layered baked eggplant (aka aubergine) with delicate additions of cheese and pureed tomatoes had us coming back the second day. Oggi, passeggiando per caso a Forio, sono stata attirata da un piccolo angolo di bontà: Mezzo Chilo Boilangerie. Non so spiegare bene, ma l’atmosfera del negozio sembrava chiamarmi. Entrata quasi per istinto, mi sono subito sentita accolta e coccolata.

Ho ordinato un’insalata di polpo con patate e dei finocchi gratinati: semplicemente divini. Il tutto servito con un sorriso e una gentilezza rara da Andrea, un ragazzo alto e cordiale che mi ha servita con premura e velocità. Un servizio impeccabile!

Il cibo è una vera esplosione di gusto, preparato con cura e passione. Talmente buono che non ho resistito: ho portato via anche due crocchè e una fetta di pizza alla genovese per la cena. Non vedo l’ora di gustarli!

In più, ho scoperto che fanno anche piatti su ordinazione: un dettaglio che rende questo posto ancora più speciale.

Really great place for some quick treats and take away food. We tried some of the pizzas and the eggplant rolls which were both incredible. The people who run this place are so kind and we ended up chatting with them the entire time while we ate....
