Da martinarosa ristorante & pizzeria — Restaurant in Forio

Our food was fantastic (as all meals in Ischia are). Unfortunately, however, the service was so abhorrent that we will never return. The host was very charismatic, we were sat and ordered drinks and entrées. Wait time was definitely noticeable but not too bad, but after we ate, the check didn't come. A less than packed Wednesday night, and I made constant eye contact with our server, and eventually, every employee passing. I even began to wave to them and still no response; ten minutes passed and our server went for a smoke break, so I went up to the host stand inside the bar area and I was a ghost. Even after greeting employees for their attention, they were sitting down on their phones, ignoring me. That same host noticed and came to serve our check, but when it was time to pay, a 40 euro meal showed up to be 60... we didn't have time to check the price and only realized after, because the host realized we were American and was insistant that we leave a tip and would not leave the table as we laid out our cash. He even told us we miscounted and still owed 10 euro when we clearly had the correct amount, and my sister had to count in front of him twice! We realized they scammed us on the price after we left and added it all up in our heads and tried to steal from us twice more. Shame on them 🤌🤌🤌 also the menus prices are hand written in and many items prices...

Would give fewer stars if I could.

Fake menu outside to bring you in. Claimed to only have a few things on the menu meanwhile after we ordered we see other people in the restaurant getting other menu items.

Waited almost 2 hours to receive our food. One person in our group didn't receive any food after waiting all this time and the waiter claimed that "she changed her order" and previously had ordered nothing. Another waiter confirmed that he had forgotten to put in her order. Nobody rushed to get her any food, so we continued to wait while everyone else at our table finished our food.

Asked for bread (multiple times) to help us through waiting 2 hours for dinner, and finally a waiter picks up bread left from another table and gives it to us (!!!!!). This is already disgusting but this behavior during corona is even worse.

At the end, expensive bill, no apologies from the restaurant, nobody even came to acknowledge our bad experience. I hope these 1 star reviews are helping a lot of people to avoid this terrible place, you could do so much better probably...

Better avoid! We went by with our 4-year old and since she was very tired we didn't want to look long for a place to have dinner at. That was our mistake,. Had we read the reviews beforehand, we would have looked further. The food wasn't bad but they are well trained in how to manipulate you in to spending more than you want. When you get seated you are asked straight away if you want still or sparkling water (5 EUR for a bottle) We then order two pizzas and one cotoletta. The order seemed probably too little so they offer a "small" shared starter, which in the end wasn't that small. I did ask how much they charge for it and was told 16 EUR (it was 18 on the bill). It didn't taste bad but definitely overpriced. With the cotoletta they offered potato chips which of course they charged for extra (5 EUR). In the end they also included the coperto although no bread was served. The only positive I can say is that they packed what we couldn't finish in to a pizza box and the staff was...
