We had a 9pm reservation for this restaurant that we’d heard so much about. We’d been looking forward to it and we come from the states, so we traveled far and chose this for our first night on the island. We are staying 40 minutes away, so we made an investment to get there too! We arrived at 8:56 to find out they had no reservation for us because “you didn’t confirm with credit card”. I was never prompted to put in my credit card. The reservation went straight through on resy and the restaurant never contacted me. He turned us away and just kept saying “you didn’t give your credit card” not “sorry we can’t seat you” and basically shoo’d us out. You’ll see in the picture our reservation fully remains online - no mention of cancelation. It stunk we dressed up, took a taxi pretty far, and were turned away. But what was worse was the treatment - it’s not hard to say oh no, maybe there was a mixup or we hope you join us...

Of all the dishes we had I would recommend the raw fish platter, the seafood paccheri pasta and the small fish tempura appetizer... All COVID protocols were also impeccable and 3 generations of my family felt absolutely safe and blessed with amazing food and service... Finally Ciro's slight turn towards a more traditional Ischian cuisine I think is a sensible and welcome change in the crazy times we live in currently... Bravo! Quick update, had dinner with kids and in-laws again yday... As always off the chart good.. Can't speak more than highly about the amazing honest and straightened to your palate food.. Also loved the fig sorbet... Really todo die...
Read moreI have no words to express how amazing Saturnino is. I've spent 10 days in Forio and I had all my dinners there. Delicious food. Nice and cosy atmosphere. Elegant environment. Great ambience with Jazz/ Classic music. Tremendous staff, from the chef to the waiter. I was in the island alone, and the staff had special attention to that by making me feel at home, specially Mateo- a waiter that I named the Freddy Mercury of Forio because he's so much alike- and Stefania (I think its her name, the room chef).
