Macelleria Braceria di Carpignano Michele e Anna Rosa Luisi — Restaurant in Ginosa

My mother in law and I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful braceria in Ginosa, and I just have to share how fantastic it was, even if this review is late (so sorry)! The place specialises in a variety of meats, as other bracierie, but it was truly an unforgettable experience. I don’t think I have ever had any meat more delicious than what we had that night. The food was absolutely excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

We came down from northern Italy, and the hospitality we received was just over the top. The hosts were incredibly kind, and when they found out how far we had traveled, they even gave us a little gift of home made biscuits (also very delicious) for the road! It was just that kind of personal touch that made us feel so at home.

If you’re ever in Ginosa or Matera (where every place is fully booked and overpriced) and you love great meat selections and genuine hospitality, this is a must visit. Thanks to the entire family working there (and Anna Rosa in particular) for an experience we’re still talking about...

In giro x lavoro e nel cercare qualcosa di un po' particolare,mi sono imbattuto in questa macelleria/ braceria a Ginosa. Che dire...... già all'entrata della macelleria,vedere questo grosso bracere ardere e fantastico.dopodiche' dopo avere atteso il mio turno ,ordino al banco,(dove penso ci stia il simpatico propietario )la mia razione di carne. Parto da una bella costata di manzo ,800 gr., e su Consiglio del proprietario mi fermo lì, riservandomi di ordinare il resto della carne per una griglia in un secondo momento. In attesa che la mia costata si cuocia,ordino il mio vino rosso e degli spuntini come salumi formaggi e delle polpette squisitissime con sugo di pomodoro. Dopodiché arriva la mia carne cotta in modo eccellente con delle patate fritte e via.........be che dire la carne era eccezionale e cotta in un modo perfetto. Posto comunque ,pulito,personale cortese prodotti di qualità e prezzo giusto ne fanno un luogo dove cenare in compagnia è apprezzare la cucina...

Op advies van de B&B eigenaar naar deze zaak gegaan. Een zaak waar je normaal gesproken nooit zal komen. We kwamen binnen in de slagerij waar je uit de vitrine mocht kiezen welk vlees je wilde eten. Best een uitdaging als de eigenaar van de zaak geen woord Engels spreekt. Toch gelukt met wat gebarentaal. Wat we uiteindelijk te eten kregen overtrof alle verwachtingen! Werkelijk een heerlijke maaltijd met topkwaliteit vlees. Maar ook het voorgerecht was geweldig. Heerlijke wijn van het huis en lekkere frietjes. Als dessert een kannetje heerlijke ijskoude limoncello met wat lokale koekjes. Dat in combinatie met een toegewijde bediening maakte het geheel tot een feestje! Een...
