Bar Madrau — Restaurant in La Maddalena

We had lunch here on our day trip to La Maddalena. We asked for iced coffee (coffee + ice cubes) and got something so sweet that it tasted less than coffee than like syrup. I also ordered an extra of rocket salad to my panini and when it arrived it had none on it. When I asked for the extra rocket salad, they brought it back 5 min later with 5 very small and dry leaves of rocket salad. We also wanted to send the coffee back to the kitchen, but our waiter was very reluctant and stormed of angrily. After that she only brought us the check and didn't even look at us once more and completely ignored our presence - she didn't even come to our table to receive the payment. That said I want to add, that it was a relaxed day, they didn't have many customers and we always asked friendly. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone... apart from the worst service even the food was really uninspired, dry and tasteless (we had a panini, breasola e grana e rucola and a crepes with ham...

It is a call to those who have self-respect; DON'T do this to yourself. This place is an insult to the term of "restaurant " or "cafe". Specifically the waitress; the lady at middle age was incredibly RUDE! We asked for couple of minutes to decide what to order but she just said something in Italian and made mimics in an intolerant manner that she rather wouldn't wait... therefore we could just order a pizza, which was by the way something frozen that you can get from any supermarket. The only reason we were there was just because it was siesta time and no other place was open. Anyway, lessons learned: no matter what, we should have a look at the Google reviews before sitting somewhere. There are plenty of funny reviews though, you might enjoy after the disaster you have...

We visited this place as part of a boat trip (visiting Isola Santa Maria, Isola Budelli, Isola Spargi and Isola Maddalena). I normally always check Google review, Trip Advisor or the Fork, but not this time. That was a big mistake. We ordered hamburger (always safe), the sandwich was okay, but no idea what they did with the burger. Definitely not on a grill or baked, no sauce..... The waitresses had fun with eachother and did not pay any attention to the customers. We had to go inside to pay the bill, since the waitress did not came to our table asking if everything was okay, if we wanted another drink, if we wanted to pay, etc....
