The friendliness and service at this bar is exactly what I hope for when visiting Italy! We stumbled upon this Enoteca after dinner while searching for some dessert and a glass of wine - Alfonso and his family delivered! The tables were full but Alfonso quickly pulled out a table and found two chairs for us to sit on the heated patio. We got to practice our Italian chatting with other guests who gave us recommendations for places to visit around town. We even met Alfonso’s daughter who was excited to practice her English. My favorite meal in La Spezia while visiting Cinque Terre and possibly my favorite meal of my whole Italy trip! Aperitif style food where I got to try lot of different things with full vegan and non-vegan options. My husband and I stopped here after hiking trails in Cinque Terre, and had the most incredible meal and glass of wine to wind down for the evening. We stumbled on this place and it turned out to be the best experience we could have hoped for. They were very accommodating and welcoming. The chef spoke English and she made us the best gnocchi we’ve had in Italy. The vegan appetizer plate was very good with perfect presentation. They served us wonderful local wine, and the small portion of white and dark chocolate gelato served with our limoncello finished the meal on a perfect note.
