Ristorante Gambero Nero — Restaurant in Lerici

Unfortunately we were quite disappointed with our dining experience here. We were shown to our table, but then the service was really very poor. After about 10 mins we were asked if we wanted table water...then eventually drinks, no bread provided until we asked. We were tossed a QR code to "look at the menu" Eventually our order was taken by another member of staff who we think was possibly the owner. To be fair he was very friendly! When our food arrived our son's pasta dish failed to turn up! Eventually, once we managed to get someone's attention, the dish was suddenly brought out! Implying it must have just been sitting in the kitchen for 10 minutes plus! The food we had was quite tasty despite the chaotic service (Fawlty Towers springs to mind!) but we didn't have dessert and unfortunately it was way over priced for the service we received. We also felt other customers in the restaurant were getting a similar experience We would not recommend...

Ok food but the staff needs to work on their hospitality. We reserved a table in advance, and got seated right near the bathrooms and the place where you pay, even though there was other free spaces…this resulted in a lot of traffic around our table, and a not so pleasant dining experience. We waited and watched other people served bread which we were never offered. The beer we were served was lukewarm. Our dishes did not arrive at the same time, so while some of us were done eating, others had to wait another 20-30 minutes before they got served. we ordered another side dish while we waited but we were never served that. During the meal we were never offered more wine or asked if the food was to our liking. The experience might have been better with some...

I can confidently say this was the best seafood dining experience we've ever had — and we've visited many fish restaurants across Europe. The pasta and seafood were of outstanding quality, prepared and served with genuine care. Portion sizes were generous enough to satisfy any appetite. The wine and desserts also deserve special praise.

The chef works tirelessly to please every guest, which is truly admirable. As for the downsides, I would mention the slightly chaotic atmosphere and recommend hiring more waitstaff to ease the pressure on the chef. On one occasion, I waited nearly an hour for a starter. However, these are minor issues compared to the incredible experience overall.

On top of that, the prices at this restaurant will pleasantly...
