We were extremely hyped going here, after seeing all the positive feedback. However, we were extremely disappointed by many, many things. Firstly, we were the only couple in the restaurant; approaching our table and seeing 2 plastic cups with compostable forks inside the cup... felt like a 10yr old party, not a restaurant. Secondly, as i said - we were the only couple in the joint, yet the waitress managed to forget a bottle of water we ordered. Thirdly; the 'fast food' approach - fine, but if you're alone in a restaurant, i find it rude for the waitress to bring you a vibrating gadget so you get up and collect your food, when there is absolutely no one present - this for me shows lack of approach and concern. Finally, the food (compostable plates) - someone wrote in the reviews that the cacio e pepe was the best she tasted in italy; either her taste buds are bad, or her choice of restaurants is worse. Second, the food is so very average. Not worth that money. The whole crew is very young, maybe that is the problem.
The ravioli were nice, but they were suposed to be with the sage, nowhere to be seen or tasted.
Cacio i pepe was waaaaaay too salty. It was funny how they tried to convince us it was only from pecorino, like we never tried pecorino in our lives. I can not even count the times i have been to Italy and eating in italian restaurants.
Ragu came luke warm, and very very average, i would make better at home. But by than we gave up on complaining.
It was dissapointing that they did not care about our opinoins at all. 😟 40 euros not really well spent. Hope you will not make the same mistake.
And almost forgot. Flies...
Read moreWe arrived quite late at Lovere. Fortunately they accepted us even less than 30min before closing time. Resume: it was soooo worth it! You can see, taste and feel that the pasta is homemade. I can definitely recommend the Parccherie di Pesto du Pistachio e Burrata! Super delicious! It’s also nice that you can interchange the pasta for any dish - this is why my girlfriend had Spaghetti instead of Paccherie. For dessert we had their homemade tiramisu which had been the cherry on the cake! The mixture of sweetness, cocoa, layers of bread and cream (however different from all the other tiramisu’s I have tried so far - and this one had been one of the best!) was splendid. Also a shoutout to the very friendly staff! You don’t want to miss this opportunity when you...
