This is a very interesting place. When we checked in to our hotel next door, there were several tables of men playing cards. Just like my Siciliano nonno! When it came time for cena, my search of top rated restaurants, brought us here. The chef came out and talked to us and took our order. Definitely a family run business. The homemade giardinieria was so flavorfully amazing. Fresh tagliolini with lake fish ragout had the aroma and taste of the fish throughout the fish. Beef fillet with creamy Bagoss cheese and polenta was very tender, smooth and creamy. The Sliced beef with herbs with potatoes was perfectly cooked, moist and tender. It is a nice restaurant with great food. We ordered the lake fish which is dried in the sun for preservation and then fried. It is a traditional dish from the region. Our server warned me that it has a strong flavour and was really happy to see that I really enjoyed it. We also got pasta with zucchini, cheese and ham. Una stella per NON aver potuto neanche sedermi ad un tavolo... Trovo essenzialmente ingeneroso, vagamente irritante, certamente inospitale - cosa che in una località di villeggiatura e in piena stagione turistica non suona tanto bene... - rifiutare UN potenziale avventore che chiede (ed educatamente “insiste” - cosa che l’interlecutore deve aver capito; non ero al Circolo per caso o di passaggio... era chiaro che ero lì perché volevo essere lì...perchè avevo letto qualcosa (qui su Google) - di poter cenare alle 20:45 (nota: NON una comitiva di venti persone che chiede di cenare a mezzanotte a cucina chiusa), con tavoli liberi (ok altri pochi avventori sarebbere - forse - arrivati come da prenotazioni; ma il posto c’era o si sarebbe potuto trovare facilmente, lo spazio non vi manca, suvvia), con il motivo che la cucina chiude alle 21 e “non ci staremmo dietro”... Ho trovato l’atteggiamento veramente miope, poco incline al cliente, egoista (?), insomma proprio di chi a certe cose o alle dinamiche di viaggio del turismo moderno non pensa proprio... sempre più spesso si visita un luogo una volta sola nella vita... non c’è una seconda volta per fare una prima bella figura... Cari proprietari, vi esorto cordialmente a verificare e sperabilmente modificare il vostro concetto di ristorazione ovvero ospitalità... la cosa era realmente fattibile, e sono certo l’avete capito ma, ahimé,...
