Awful, terrible, rude service
Upon entering it took 40 minutes for a waiter to even take our order. All food was ordered at the same time. After ordering starters and mains, half of the starters arrived along with half of the mains, so some mains were served before the starters had been. After the rest of the mains arrived, starters started turning up halfway through the mains. One main, for my mother, had not turned up even 1 hour after the rest of our mains had been served. My mother politely asked to cancel her main as she didn’t want to eat on her own anymore. This request was met with a stern no. The waiters then started getting irate and arguing with us about taking 1 main off the bill that we had not even received. The waiters were extremely rude and non cooperative and starting to raise their voices and tried to gain the approval of other customers which was extremely humiliating and rude. They also spoke nastily of us in Italian as they thought we couldn’t understand, however, one party member is fluent and was aware of the nasty comments being made. On top of this, a steak that had been ordered to be medium arrived raw and the complimentary bread didn’t arrive for an hour and a half. We were in the restaurant a total of 3 hours and it was the most chaotic unorganised terrible service we have ever received and one of us left without having even eaten. I would never ever recommend anyone to eat here. On top of this, the review is accurate and their response, if...
Read moreI was told about this place and it looked very good from the photos, so I went.
When we arrived, we were asked to wait for 10 or 15 minutes (we were the only ones waiting). In the meantime, we looked at the menu so that we could choose what we were going to eat and not waste too much time inside.
We were inside in 10 minutes or less. We sat down, finished choosing what we wanted to eat and then I called someone to take our order. We waited and waited. We waited for an hour. They came to tell us that it was already on its way. So we decided to wait, but nothing. They didn't even give us the bread starter, which is free.
We sat for an hour drinking water on an empty stomach. No one tried to offer us anything complimentary for waiting more than an hour, which would have been a proper business gesture. We got up and left. And it's a good thing we did, because a place that makes a customer wait for more than an hour without even giving them a free bread starter, or without even offering us anything complimentary for the wait, is very likely to have poor food.
There's no food that can pay for all that waiting. It's a good thing we didn't give this place a...
Read moreWe were so hungry when we arrived here in the evening around 9 pm. The food was very good, and the service even better. The prices in Italy mystify me - but it was better than a lot of other restaurants. I can't imagine what the seating fee was, because the pizzas were so cheap that the bill (which came to 65 Euro for 5 people), made no sense to us. The tea I ordered at the end of the meal was something crazy like 4 Euro. It's water. With a bag of tea in it. Seriously?
The pizzas were definitely yummy but not the best I've ever had here in Italy. What was amazing however was the fresh sausage that they put on top of my pizza. Oh my gosh it tasted like link sausages in America which I haven't had in nearly a year! It was delicious! The beer was good, the atmosphere was very charming, family-friendly and loud but charming.
I would definitely go back, and would recommend it to tourists looking for some fairly cheap pizza. The other items on the menu looked good, but I haven't had any of them yet to...
